Today we had the pleasure of meeting Aaron. He came to my folks house where we had our water softner fail and flood the garage. He found the that the problem was the water pressure regulator on the main water feed to the house. My folks had hired a handyman off Angie's list previously. To sum it up the last guy installed the wrong regulator. The water pressure was to high. Aaron was able to quickly diagnose the problem. He returned the next day and fixed it. He was a good man. He sat and talked to my folks who are older and made them feel comfortable. He also fixed a minor issue with the water heater. Real solid dude. Intelligent design will also be back to take care of a few roof tiles and replace some fascia board. 5 stars for Aaron and the organization!!

It seems that I can't do multiple reviews on a single business even though they provide multiple different services (pluming, HVAC, roofing, etc.) so I'm updating my current review.

On Wednesday the 12th of November, 2025, we had a general service check on our plumbing by Anthony Brown a plumber at Intelligent Design (ID). He was on time and gave us some good information on our water heater, it's was time to replace it before we have an issue due to its age. We met with his manager at ID via a MS Teams chat so we could all discuss a simple tank replacement or changing to a tankless water heater. We went over the pros and cons, what options we would need or not need and the cost difference over time. It was a good conversation since we gained information that we didn't have regarding tankless water heaters vs tank water heaters. We went with a tankless version, it cost more up front but over time will save us money and the hassle of replacing tanks every so many years, as a bonus its more efficient on natural gas than the tank. ID was able to schedule Anthony Brown the next day to do the replacement. Anthony was on time, pleasant to work with, explained every thing we was doing, had prepared his truck with all of the items he needed and did exceptional work. He also repiped our natural gas line to feed the new tankless water heater, to upgrade the pipe to 3/4 inch from the 1/2 inch that fed the previous tank water heater. We liked working with Anthony Brown and would recommend him and Intelligent Design for your projects. I've attached two photos of the tankless water heater on my wall and one of the pipe change area.

Jason Shreves and his crew Ryan and Fabian did an excellent job on our sewer pipe replacement from the house to the street. Jason let us know what time he was going to arrive and when he left each day. He kept us up to date on the progress and even stayed very late on the last night to get it done on time. Jason had done our normal house check prior to the work and showed us the roots in the old clay sewer pipe. He's very easy to talk to, experienced, mature, and knowledgeable so we went with Jason at Intelligent Design to do the work. The clay dirt and the calichi were quite a challenge to dig through, they brought in equipment to dig as well as did a lot of hand digging. They all had a great work ethic and dug carefully to not damage any other pipes in the area, water and my rainwater harvesting pipe. I would recommend Jason Shreves to work on your plumbing project. Due to his work ethic and knowledge you won't be disappointed. See photos.

No Surprises Guarantees

Once the proposal/contract is signed by the company representative and the customer, the agreed-upon price will not change. Any alteration or deviation from specifications at the customer’s request will be agreed upon as a written change-order to the original work and price. Thus, there won’t be any surprises.

  • Existing Equipment (not provided by Seller) such as Electric, Ducts and/or Duct work, Gas Piping, Condensation Drains, Refrigeration Lines, Venting, or other HVAC related equipment, are not the responsibility of the Seller unless installed by the Seller, unless otherwise specified.
  • All work to be completed in a workman like manner according to standard practices.
  • Alterations or deviations from specifications above require new signed work orders stating details and costs (if any).
  • Past Due Payments incur a 1.5% monthly fee.
  • Permits included. Equipment title is held by seller until paid in full. If no pay arises seller may remove equipment without liability for any damages during removal.
  • Final payment funding is due on system commissioning and shall not be held back based on specialty item order delays such as registers or air purification. Specialty items are to be installed as soon as we receive them.
  • Legal expenses for collections are the responsibility of the buyer.
  • Regarding Federal Tax Rebates, Seller is able to verify if the equipment sold will qualify for a Federal Tax Refund but the Seller is not able to verify if an individual will qualify. All questions regarding tax issues should be directed toward an accountant.
  • If customer schedules the installation within the first 72 hours of signing they are voluntarily waiving their rights to the 72 hour right of rescission. If that is the case a 35% restocking and materials fee will be applied for any cancellations. If the customer cancels agreement after 72 hour right of rescission has expired and after equipment and materials have been purchased by Intelligent Design, a 35% restocking fee will apply for entire contract amount. If any discounts were added to the agreement they will be void if any of the items selected are canceled within the 72 hours right of rescission. After the 72 hour right of rescission no items may be canceled.
  • For each portable given to customer for days leading up to equipment installation and if customer cancels job a $150.00 per portable per day charge will be required to be paid for the use of the portables.
  • Any disputes requiring any form of third party mediation shall be handled by a third party arbitrator selected by Intelligent Design Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc.
  • The design temperature for the system is 106 degrees outside and 75 degrees inside with a 63 degree wet bulb.
